Dr. Rohini.G. Varrier inherited her love for the science of Ayurveda from her Vaidya family. Her mother Dr Jayanthy P.V. – her Guru, exposed her to the ayurvedic thought process and way of life from the kitchen and backyard of her own home.
When she grew up, she had the opportunity to study other, more lucrative courses, and she decided to pursue her heart’s wish of becoming an Ayurvedic Doctor.
She graduated from PNNM Ayurveda College, which carries the legacy of Poomulli Neelakantan Namboodiripad, world renowned Ayurvedic physician from Kerala.
Since got her post graduation in Dravyaguna from Rajiv Gandhi University of Post Graduate Studies, Bengaluru, India.
She found her calling when she started learning more about ‘Arka’, an ancient and mostly lost steam of Ayurvedic pharmacology. She wishes to bring “Arka” preparations to mainstream and people benefit from this amazing form of medicine.
Working at Saranya Ayurveda Hospital, under the Guru Padmashri P.R. Krishna Kumar, she got the chance to study the basics of ‘NadiPareeksha’ (Pulse Diagnosis) from the renowned Vaidya Vasanth Dattatreya Lad. She has been practicing Ayurvedic medicine, teaching students from all over the world regarding the and doing research on “Arka preparations”. Her field of interest is making the patients understand about themselves and what’s happening inside them.
